Here are some descriptions of various clubhouse seating areas at Churchill Downs to consider when purchasing your Kentucky Derby Tickets. Visit our Seating Info link to read more about all seating areas at the track, including the grandstand seating areas and private dining room options.
Clubhouse Section 111 is the largest clubhouse section at Churchill Downs. The boxes start with row A on the rail of the racetrack and are elevated going back row by row. All of the clubhouse boxes in 111 are 6 seat boxes with metal folding chairs. None of these boxes are covered.
Clubhouse Section 114 has 13 rows, those being rows A-M. Rows A-F are located in the open air (non-covered), and row G is the first row located undercover.
Clubhouse Sections 116 and 117 are the premier seating areas on the first floor of the track. These sections give each guest the best view of the race finish, along with wonderful viewing of the tote board and winners circle as well. These sections have 12 rows, A – L, made up of 6 seat boxes with metal folding chairs. Rows H-L are located undercover with rows A-F being non-covered (open air).
Clubhouse Sections 312-314 and 318-321 consist of 6 seat boxes with metal folding chairs. Rows A through C in this Clubhouse section are out in the open (non-covered), while rows D and higher are completely under cover. There is a large walkway between rows C and D, and row D is elevated high enough for patrons to view the race over those walking in front of them on the walkway area. Ticket holders in these clubhouse sections have access to all of the amenities of the 3rd Floor Clubhouse including numerous food and drink choices, plentiful restrooms, shorter lines at the betting windows, and a wonderful inside concourse area.
Clubhouse Sections 315-317 are located at the Finish line area of Churchill Downs and in front of the Turf Club, Turf Terrace, and Matt Winn Room. These are the most sought-after box seats at the track. This is also where you will find many of the owners and trainers of the horses racing in the Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Oaks, along with many other VIP guests and groups. Rows A through C are all 6 seat boxes with metal folding chairs, and these rows are located in the open air, not under cover. There is a walkway separating rows C and D in this section, and then rows D through H are where you will find some of the most exclusive seating at Churchill Downs. All of the boxes in rows D through H are spacious 8-person boxes featuring padded folding chairs, LCD TV screens in each box, and they are all located under cover. Ticket holders in these clubhouse sections also have access to all of the amenities of the 3rd Floor Clubhouse including numerous food and drink choices, plentiful restrooms, shorter lines at the betting windows, and a wonderful inside concourse area.
