The Barnstable-Brown Gala is by far the biggest and most exclusive Kentucky Derby party of the entire weekend. This annual party, now held for 26 straight years, is where actors, actresses, athletes, models, musicians, and VIP’s all come to have an exciting evening just prior to the Kentucky Derby. This party offers a night of fun, food, and entertainment like none other. The event is not only a great party, but also a fundraiser to help support diabetes research at the University of Louisville and University of Kentucky. Thousands of fans line up along Spring Drive and near the red-carpet driveway entrance of the Brown family home to catch glimpses of the stars as they arrive. The party goes on well into the night and all attendees are treated to outstanding food, drinks, music, and dancing throughout the evening.
